We are pleased to announce Bob Breslauer has joined the Model Motorcars team!
Bob is mechanical engineer, jazz drummer and professional model builder. He has built models for the Department of Defense, NASA , and collectors worldwide. Bob had brought 3D printing, laser engraving and cutting and micro CNC machining to the Model Motorcars arsenal of manufacturing processes.
Here is an example of his work, a Ferrari 12 cylinder Formula 1 racing engine in 1/12 scale. There was no glue used in the construction of this model.

April's Feature Exhibit
Marek Zadnik's 1907 Fiat

It is not often that we hear from model builders in Czechia, and now that we have received photos of Marek Zadnik's Fiat, the bar has been well and truly raised. It is one thing to send us some pretty photos of a pretty model, but it is an entirely different thing to send in crystal clear photos of a seemingly flawless version of one of Pocher's more challenging kits. And as if that is not enough of a treat, we have been sent some truly remarkable photos of the model taken outdoors, with the result that the model is nearly indistinguishable from a full size car. Bravo. Most of us are familiar with the challenges of taking decent photos of our precious models, and most of us are equally familiar with the frustrations of ending up with photos that neither compliment our models nor reveal their hidden charms. Mr. Zadnik has managed to do both. Bravo. The detail shots of the underside of the model are more of the same: crystal clear images that show us remarkable model building skill which has been exercised on what is a fairly run-of-the-mill kit. For most of us, just getting a Pocher Fiat assembled into a symmetrical model would be cause for celebration and merriment. Mr. Zadnik's model is not only symmetrical and neatly assembled, but it is also flawlessly detailed and artfully enhanced. Bravo. In short, Marek Zadnik has earned three cheers from the Model Motorcar Mavens, and were he here in person, we would bestow several hearty pats on his back. As it is, we thank him for sharing his images of this wonderful model. His photos can serve as inspiration to all of us.
